About Aldridge Counselling Services (ACS)

I am a qualified counsellor in Hertford offering counselling for addiction, trauma, anxiety and emotional wellbeing. I provide a confidential and supportive space for adults across Hertfordshire and online throughout the UK.

I support people who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or struggling with issues such as addiction, trauma, anxiety, stress, depression and relationship difficulties. I have particular experience working in addiction and mental health, including alcohol use and substance misuse, and the emotional challenges that often sit alongside these such as shame, anxiety and past trauma.

My approach is integrative and humanistic, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor sessions to your individual needs. I aim to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and begin to understand what is happening beneath the surface.

Counselling can help you make sense of difficult experiences, develop healthier ways of coping, and move towards meaningful and lasting change.

I offer counselling in Hertford and support clients from Ware, Hoddesdon, Broxbourne, Cheshunt and across Hertfordshire, as well as online counselling throughout the UK.

Accreditations

I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by the BACP’s Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

The BACP is a professional body set up to promote and monitor best practice within counselling and psychotherapy practices, and to look after the people who use these services. All my registration details will be provided to you after setting up our contract for your security.

I am also registered with the RSCPP – a member organisation, which recognises qualified and professional therapists – and the Counselling Directory, which provides a database of UK counsellors and psychotherapists.

I am fully DBS checked. This means I have undergone a criminal records check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (sponsored by the Home Office) and have been certified safe and reliable to work with people.
